"By the first of the year, look for these distinctive MILE MARKERS along the main roads that parrallel the beach. These will be MILE MARKER signs designed to help you find where you are going and estimate the distances.

The MILE MARKERS (MM) will start at the south end of PASS A GRILLE with MM-0, and go north along Pass A Grille Way, Gulf Blvd, Blind Pass Rd, Gulf Blvd again, across Clearwater Pass Bridge, South Gulfview Blvd, and north of the "roundabout" in Clearwater Beach along Mandalay Blvd. About 1 1/2 miles north of the roundabout will be MM 25.

Businesses are encouraged to learn their relative location in the MM system and start placing that location in their ads, in addition to their addresses. Educate your employees, and when customers call, tell them what MM you are near.
