NEW NEWSLETTER FOR INDIAN ROCKS BEACH RESIDENTS

BY: BOB & BECKY GRIFFIN, Griffin Productions (resident of Indian Rocks Beach)

Beginning MAY 1st (and repeating every other month) BOB & BECKY GRIFFIN will write, produce and mail a newsletter to all occupied residences and businesses of INDIAN ROCK BEACH. That is approximately 2,500 homes, condos, apartments and businesses.

The CITY of INDIAN ROCKS BEACH already produces a newsletter 6 times a year.

So what makes this different?

The CITY'S newsletter does a good job of covering CITY BUSINESS. They include future meeting dates, minutes of commission meetings, reminders about trash pickups, employee of the month and building department rules. Some of the non-profits (such as the Home Owners Association and YMCA) are allowed to add information. They never cover outside activities, business developments or allow any kind of advertising.

GRIFFIN'S NEWSLETTER will cover many other aspects of the city and allow local businesses to run ads and inserts.

"In the first issue, we will cover the new commission to be seated March 28th, the run on the beach April 1st, Beauty and the Beach, little league, the opening of any new business on the beach...and so much more." says GRIFFIN.

"Our calendar of events goes far beyond commission and board meetings. We will provide detailed information of other politicians serving this beach community.

The newsletter will be FULL COLOR and include lots of photography of local people and events. He will print over 2,500 copies and mail them to every OCCUPIED RESIDENCE in the city.

GRIFFIN, a 14 year resident of Indian Rocks Beach is active in other ways. He started THE BEACH DIRECTORY in IRB 10 years ago ( a tourism guide and now covers 20 cities in Florida), started the magazine BEST BEACH RESTAURANTS distributed along the Gulf Beaches, created the newly released RECIPES OF THE BEST BEACH RESTAURANTS cook book, created the first Indian Rocks Beach Run 8 years ago, started the initiative to install MILE MARKERS along all of GULF BOULEVARD (6 years ago) and is active in IRB on the INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY ADVOC COMMITTEE.

Married, he lives on La Hacienda with his wife BECKY and dog, Sammy.
